Liah Sharibu, the last remaining 110 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram on February 19 in Dapchi is yet to be released by the insurgents.

The Federal Government had earlier said 76 of the 110 students of the Government Girls Science Technical College, GGSTC, Dapchi, in Yobe State were released but later updated the number to 101.

But sources in the town told DAILY NIGERIAN that all the parents of the freed girls were reunited with children except the mother of Liah Sharibu.

“Liah is the only girl that we did not see. All the parents have seen their children.

“My daughter told me that the insurgents asked Liah to accept Islam, but she refused. So they isolated her before embarking on the return journey,” Mr Mohammed said.
