2 abducted Gombe kids rescued in Anambra reunite with parents

The Anambra State Police Command has rescued two children kidnapped in Gombe State by a 3-man suspected kidnap syndicate.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the three suspects are; Patience Opia from Cross River, Ejece Obi from Anambra State and Blessings John from Bauchi State.

Speaking to newsmen while presenting the rescued children to their parents, the state’s Commissioner for Police, John Abang, said the children who were rescued in the Anambra State through intelligent network of security operatives in the state.

While parading the suspected kidnappers, Mr Abang said Blessings John, the principal suspect, claimed to be the biological mother of one of the children while adding that the other child belonged to her late sister.

Mr Abang, who spoke through his Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, said before the children were released, the command had to conduct a due diligence to confirm that the parents were truly their biological parents.

According to him, the suspects had concluded plans to sell each of the children at the cost of N750.000 before she ran out of luck.
