Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards for FCT, Yobe, Jigawa, has announced dates for the closure registration of intending pilgrims.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that FCT and Yobe state would close their registration on June 19 while Jigawa would close on June 18.
A statement signed by the FCT board Public Relations Officer, PRO, Muhammad Lawal disclosed this after monitoring the medical screening of the intending pilgrims at the permanent Hajj camp, Bassan Jiwa on Saturday.
According to the statement, the Director of the Board Muhammad Bashir said the closure became necessary to enable the board meet up with the deadline set by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, before the closure of Saudi Arabian authority’s portal.
The Director also advised those who have made deposit to ensure the balance their hajj fare before the deadline.
He also called on those who have not submitted their international passport to do that before that Wednesday or stand the risk of losing their seat for this year.
Similarly, the Executive Chairman Yobe State Pilgrims Commission, Bukar Kime while announcing the final deadline for the closure, called on all those that made deposits to complete the payment to reach N1,522,475.10, to avoid the risk of e- portal closure by the NAHCON on June 21.
However, the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, JSPWB, says it’s also closing the sale of seats for the 2019 Hajj exercise on Tuesday, June 18.
Ibrahim Hashim, the Public Relations Officer of the board, confirmed this to newsmen in Dutse on Saturday.
