All Progressive Congress, APC, Niger State Chapter led by its Chairman, Mohammed Imam has passed a vote of confidence on President Muhammad Buhari, Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello for piloting the state of the economy of Nigeria out of Recession.
The chairman said the many economic and social empowerment programs and infrastructural development introduced by their administrations will go a long way to ease life for the citizens of the country.
Mr Imam said this at the Government House, Minna during the welcoming ceremony of the 34,000 new decampees from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to the APC.
The chairman revealed that votes of confidence and endorsement of President Buhari and Governor Sani-Bello became necessary in order for them to focus more on making life better for Nigerians and Nigerlites.
Earlier, the National Chairman of APC, John Odigie-Oyegun had urged the leadership of the party and the entire members to pressurize Mr Sani-Bello to contest for a second term.
He stressed that this administration had done well and that the Governor has indeed contributed his own quota in bringing Nigeria out of recession after the 16 years of PDP misrule.
The national chairman also commended the governor’s foresight in being proactive in the security situation in the state.
The new decampees, led by Aminu Yusuf, who also passed a vote of confidence on Mr Sani-Bello, stressed that his leadership qualities, prudent management of the state resources as well as his
economic policies were what encouraged them to decamp to APC.
The decampees have also put their weight behind President Buhari and Governor Sani-Bello to continue the good work they have started until 2023.
