The Jigawa state governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Aminu Ringim, has again emerged as the party’s candidate for the 2019 governorship elections held on Sunday in Dutse, the state capital.
Declaring the result the returning officer and chairman PDP National primary organizing committee in the state, Oladimeji Faleyi said Mr Ringim emerged victorious with popular votes of 2027.
Mr Ringim who was a one time a commissioner for agriculture during the administration of former Governor Saminu Turaki was also a one-time Chief of Staff to former Governo Sule Lamido.
The winner defeated the former Governor Ali sa’adu Birnin Kudu, former House of Representative member representing Dutse and Jigawa, Tijjani Ibrahim Gaya as well as former House of Representative member representing Hadejia/Malam madori federal consitituency, Usaini Namadi.
