A Turkish court has sentenced 27 people to life in prison over one of the most high-profile cases of a failed coup in July 2016.
Of the nearly 500 defendants, the 27 people include at least four civilians and three military officers.
These include another businessman, Kemal Batmaz, who was convicted of aiding the coup.
Six people have been tried in absentia, including prominent US-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gulen, accused of plotting a coup. But he denies the allegations
The court is expected to deliver all the rulings today.
