Three travelers died as luxury bus traveling from Enugu to Lagos plunged into Owode-Mile 12 river along Lagos-Ikorodu road in Lagos.
The affected bus, which bears registration number GDC386YE, belonged to GUO Transport Services Ltd.
The spokesperson of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, South West zone, Ibrahim Farinloye, said 48 people have been rescued.
“Some people are said to have walked out immediately after the incident before the arrival of emergency agencies.
“We have 48 rescued alive, three dead, while nine of the survivors are being attended to at Lagos State Emergency Trauma Centre at Toll Gate on Lagos-Ibadan expressway,” he said.
