A new commander has been appointed for the 33 Brigade Shadawanka Military Cantonment, Bauchi.
He is Timothy Olowomeye, a brigadier general.
He took over from his predecessor, Abraham Dusu, also a brigadier general, who has been redeployed to the Nigerian Army School of Artillery Kachia, Kaduna State.
A statement by an assistant director in the Army Public Relations directorate, Joseph Afolasade, described Mr Olowomeye as is a very seasoned senior military officer who has held various command and Staff appointments.
“He was Deputy Director, Army Transformation and Innovation Centre, Abuja. He is a fellow of the National Defece College, Abuja.
“Until his appointment, he was the Deputy Commandant Nigerian Army School of Artillery, Kachia, Kaduna State.
“He assumed Command of the Bridge following a routine handing and taking over ceremony held at Bridge Headquarters in Shadawanka Military Cantonment, Bauchi earlier today 29 May, 2017.
“Please accept the warmest regards of the Commander 33 Bridge, Brigadier General Timothy Olowomeye at all times,” Mr Afolasade, a major, said.
