A former group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Andrew Yakubu, has been remanded in prison custody following arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Mr Yakubu was arraigned Thursday on a six-count charge of fraud at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
The former NNPC boss had owned up over $9.8 million cash in his house in Kaduna State.
He however pleaded not guilty to the charges filed by the EFCC.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed then ordered that he be remanded in Kuje prison pending the determination of his bail application on March 21.
