The Myanmar Police seized a large number of drugs in three townships in Shan state, according to the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control Friday.
The seizures were made in Loilem, Mai-yal and Naung Cho (Nawnghkio) townships on Thursday.
A total of 30 kilogrammes of Ketamine worth 300 million kyats ($200,000) were confiscated from a car travelling on Loilem-Taunggyi road on Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, a total of 9,750 stimulant tablets worth 19.5 million kyats ($13,000) were seized from a passenger on a bus in Mai-yal township later on the same day.
Also, police personnel confiscated 20 grammes of Heroin worth 400,000 kyats ($267) and 2,160 stimulant tablets worth over 4.32 million kyats ($2,880) from a motorbike in Naung Cho (Nawnghkio) township.
The suspects were reported by the township police under the country’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
