The Plateau State chapter of the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria, MMPN, has described the death of a seasoned broadcast journalist, Umar Sa’idu Tudun Wada, as a sad loss to the entire journalism profession.
The MMPN, in a statement signed by its Secretary, Shittu Tanko, commiserated with the immediate family of late Mr Tudun Wada, Kano State government and the good people of the state, the leadership of the Nigeria Guild of Editors NGF, as well as the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.

The statement said: “We received the news of the death of Malam Umar Sa’idu Tudun Wada with shock and grief. The death was indeed a sad moment to the journalism profession. More so, upcoming journalists will forever miss his vast experience garnered over the years.”
“We pray Allah to grant him Aljannatil Firdaus and also grant his families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the statement added.
