315 students get trained in digital skills in Daura

A company, ATC Nigeria, has trained no fewer than 315 students on digital skills under its digital village programme in Daura local government area, Katsina State.

Gloria Eyieyien, the project manager made this known in Daura on Tuesday during the graduation ceremony of batch two of the trainees.

She said the students were trained and exposed to digital components such as Microsoft word, Networking, operating system and other relevant aspect of computer operation.

Mrs Eyieyien said the one month intensive training was conducted free of charge.

She called on the beneficiaries to be focused and key into the digital world, as digital knowledge was of paramount importance to current glabal trends.

“Digital skills are globally required to advance in today’s world, hence one need not be analogue,” the programme manager said.

Mrs Eyieyien said by 2020, the company would introduce a foundation through which working tools and seed capital would be provided to graduates of its programmes.

She stressed that the company would also expand its scope to accommodate more students.

Mrs Eyieyien said the programme which began in 2018 had so far successfully trained no fewer than 1, 450 students on digital skills.

Ali Abba, one of the beneficiaries, commended the company for introducing the programme and assured that they will utilise the knowledge they have acquared to expand their horizon.
