The Kaduna State Police Command has released a former chairman of Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Ltd., PAN, Sani Dauda popularly known as ASD who was arrested after marrying off his daughter.
Recall that on Tuesday, at about 4:00 PM, the police Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, attached to the Kaduna State Police Command had arrested Mr Dauda alongside his son, Kaduna State Sharia Court judge, Murtala Nasir and the new husband, Abdullahi Kumali.
The police were allegedly acting on an order from the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, over an estranged marriage between Mr Dauda’s daughter, Nasiba and one Musa Abubakar.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that trouble started when the 25-year-old Nasiba sought a divorce through Khul’I, to which the husband objected.
However, a family source told DAILY NIGERIAN that Mr Dauda and the three others arrested arrived home at about 8:30 am.
