The Kaduna State Committee on Private and Public Health Establishments has directed health facilities in the state to renew their operational licenses before January 31, 2010.

The information is in a statement by the state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Mohammed-Baloni, on Thursday in Kaduna.

The commissioner stated that the directive was in pursuance of the committee’s responsibilities to register, license, regulate and inspect all health establishments in the state.

She added that failure to comply with the directive would attract sanctions.

She said, “owners of facilities yet to register/renew their licenses and settle other outstanding levies are to visit the office of the Secretary, Private Health Establishment Committee at the Ministry of Health before January 31.”
