Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has met behind closed-doors with the South West governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
It was gathered that the meeting, which started immediately after the expanded National Economic Council, NEC, meeting, would dwell on Amotekun, the recently launched regional security outfit that was proscribed by the Federal Government.
Recall that a controversy had trailed the Federal Government’s banning of the Western Nigerian Security Network code-named ‘Operation Amotekun’, with some prominent Yoruba leaders justifying the creation of the outfit while others, especially from Northern extraction, jettisoned the idea.
Notably, a chieftain of the Afenifere, Femi Okurounmu, had earlier lambasted the APC leader for his refusal to speak up.
