COVID-19: Obasanjo donates Abeokuta residence as isolation centre in Ogun

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has donated his former residence at the presidential hilltop, Abeokuta, Ogun state capital, to be used as isolation centre for curing patients of the Coronavirus pandemic in the state.

Mr Obasanjo’s media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, who made the disclosure in a statement on Friday, said the facility has 32 rooms en suite, with a standby generator.

According to the statement, the 32-room facility has been handed over to the state government.

The aide said Mr Obasanjo is concerned about the pandemic, adding that “those who can in one way or another assist in this situation should do so”.
