COVID-19 lockdown: Kaduna govt gives residents 33hour restocking break

Kaduna State government has temporarily relaxed the restriction of movement for 33 hours to allow residents restock food and other essential commodities.

Recall that the government had imposed the lockdown measure throughout the state to check the spread of Covid-19.

The deputy governor of the state, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, who made the announcement in a state broadcast on Wednesday, said that the curfew will be eased from 3pm on Wednesday to 12 midnight on Thursday.

According to her, the restriction will be lifted every Tuesdays and Wednesdays, saying that traders in food and other essentials will open their shops on these two days.

Mrs Balarabe, therefore, appealed to the people of the state to continue to observe the social distancing, avoid crowded places and to wash their hands regularly.
