A group canvassing support for a former vice president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2019 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, has launched an online television named Atiku TV.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the online platform was created to propagate Mr Abubakar’s political mission, philosophy and agenda.
According to one of the Atiku campaigners, Bamidele Moshood, the media outfit would serve the interest of loyalists and teeming supporters of the politician.
Mr Moshood said the online TV was solely created to advance Mr Abubakar’s political philosophy and political adventure, devoid of hate.
“Major highlights of the TV will be Atiku’s past, present and future political activities and those of his associates, as well as those of our Atikulated supporters.
“Atiku TV is set to inform, educate and entertain you from the stable of Atiku Abubakar – A Nigerian politician and businessman who served as the Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 during the presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo.
“And at this juncture, we humbly invite you to join him in the crusade of making Nigeria work again.
“The Atiku Abubakar, is a political brand, force and a Role model that has cut across many strides in Life – from Business, diplomacy, public service and politics,” the writer said.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the programs of the online TV channel would feature personal interviews, events, and other political activities of Mr Abubakar.
The TV channel has social media accounts as thus, @AtikuTV on twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Recall that Mr Abubakar’s son, Adamu, last month revealed that his father will contest for the number one office, come 2023.
The son, who is the commissioner for Works and Energy in Adamawa state disclosed this while presenting the scorecard of his ministry, as the administration of Governor Ahmadu Finitiri celebrates one year in office.
“Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with my father contesting for the presidency. In 2023, my father will be aspiring to the number one office in the land because he has been an astute, strategic, master politician for almost four decades”, he said.
