The Nigeria Computer Society has conferred this year’s National Information Technology Merit Award, NITMA, on the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that NITMA is NCS’s flagship award aimed at recognising, celebrating, and rewarding outstanding excellence and exceptional contributions of individuals and organisations in the Information Technology field in Nigeria.

Receiving the ward, Mr Inuwa, who was represented by Dr Mohammed Agbali, expressed his appreciation for the recognition.

Mr Inuwa is a versatile IT professional, strategist and transformation manager with experience that cuts across private and public sectors.

He has a notch in IT operations, business transformation, solution architecture, tech policy development, administration and management.

Mr Inuwa is a thoroughbred IT professional and the first Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert CCIE in Nigeria’s public sector.

A Computer Science graduate from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Mr Inuwa holds multiple Leadership & Management courses in top institutions across the globe including Harvard University, Cambridge University and IMD Business school, Switzerland.

He is equally a Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT Sloan – trained strategist.
