Tinubu tasked on speedy appointment of cabinet members

The Africa Business Venture and Investment Group, ABVIG, has underscored the need for President Bola Tinubu to appoint his cabinet members early, to boost economic growth in the country.

This is contained in a congratulatory message to President Tinubu and Vice-President, Kashim Shetima, on Monday in Abuja by the President/Chairman of ABVIG, Moses Owharo, against the backdrop of their victory at the 2023 Presidential Polls.

According to Owharo, a former President of All Nigerian Community-Ghana Community, Nigerians believe in the capacity of the duo to deliver on their campaign promises having emerged winner of the 2023 Presidential polls.

“As such, we urge you to make early appointment of your cabinet members and be diverse, to ensure that equity and fairness is reflected in your administration.

“Nigeria can not wait long for your early economic and pragmatic interventions, because of the high poverty indices, security and health challenges resulting from lapses in the economy, aside natural challenges such as COVID-19 and recent flood that ravaged the country.

“Please accept our warm congratulations on your victory and our best wishes for your success as you to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your high office.

“ABVIG shall be available at all times to offer our expertise on Infrastructures, Trade and Investment, Health, Agriculture, Solid Minerals, Power, Space Science.

“We, therefore, use this opportunity to invite your government administration to take advantage of the Africa Infrastructure, Climate Change and Investment Summit to hold in Washington DC, U.S.A., from Sept. 5  to Sept. 8, 2023, to explore benefits for Nigeria.”

He further extended congratulatory message to Sen. George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) over the latter recent appointment into the office of the SGF.

“Congratulations on your appointment as  SGF especially on your task in terms of institution reform, education, healthcare, economy, security, infrastructure, power, youth employment, agribusiness, oil and gas, external affairs, cohesiveness of our nation and ridding our land of corruption.

“Your varied and wide experience will undoubtedly stand you in good stead.

“We believe there are Nigerians of goodwill, character and virtue across board that you can mobilise in the reform, repairs and re-direction, which is imperative to put Nigeria on the fast lane of good governance, unity, cohesiveness, development and progress.
