A senior traditional title holder in Zaria, Magajin Garin Zazzau Nuhu Bamalli, has died at the age of 53 in the early hours of Friday.

Mr Bamalli, who was a younger brother to the Emir of Zazzau Ahmed Bamalli, died in a Lagos hospital after a brief illness.

The late senior title holder was the head of chancery at the Nigerian Embassy in Morocco, and currently the acting ambassador.

He left behind a wife, two children and many relatives.
