Pakistan has decided to allow medical students from the Gaza Strip to complete their medical education in the South Asian country on humanitarian grounds.
The decision was made on the directions of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, said at a weekly media briefing.
“Palestinian students from Gaza in batches of 20-30 will soon join medical colleges in Pakistan.
“It will enable the Gaza students to complete their medical education in the fields of cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, pediatrics and surgery to address the critical needs in Gaza’s health care system,” she added.
