Kaduna State has emerged as the best-performing state in Primary Healthcare Development in the North West region of the country.
The award ceremony, which is organised by the PHC Leadership Challenge, was held at the banquet hall of the Presidential Villa, during a gala night in Abuja on Friday.
The award recognised the state’s government’s significant investments and strategic approach to improving public health infrastructure and service delivery.

The program is a collaborative effort involving the Nigerian Governors Forum, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, Aliko Dangote Foundation, and the National Primary Health Care Development Agency.
A statement issued by the chief press secretary to the governor, Ibraheem Musa, said the award underscores Governor Uba Sani’s strong commitment to transforming the health sector.
