The partnership deal was signed between the Director-General of KATDICT, Naufal Ahmed, and the Coordinator of KYCV, Engr. Kabir Abdullahi Kofar-Soro, during the dormer’s visit to the latter’s office on Friday.
During the visit, Mr Ahmed emphasized the KATDICT’s strong interagency collaboration and user-centred design to achieve digital transformation.
Mr Ahmed said: “This partnership aligns with Governor Radda’s directive to transform the Youth Craft Village into a skills acquisition hub, focusing on digital literacy and technology-driven vocational training.”
Briefing the ICT Director on its operations, the KYCV Coordinator stressed Governor Dinko Radda’s vision of transforming the village into a leading skills acquisition centre for youth and women is becoming a reality.
Mr Abdullahi also disclosed that the governor had transferred four additional skills acquisition centres in Daura, and Malumfashi to KYCV’s management.
He lauded the visionary leadership of the governor for propelling the centre to lead charge in skills, vocational and economic development.
Expressing his satisfaction with the partnership, Mr Ahmed said: “I am particularly excited about our ongoing collaboration to fully digitize KYCV’s processes, including admission, record keeping and attendance.”
Mr Ahmed, however, stressed that the partnership would aid the administration’s goal of empowering youth through digital skills and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
“Through these partnerships, we are building a foundation for sustainable digital growth that will benefit all residents of Katsina State,” Mr Ahmed assured.
