The kidnapped national president of the Afenifere National Youth Council, Eniola Ojajuni, has cried for help, seeking donations of N100 million demanded by his abductors.
In a video trending online, Mr Ojajuni said the abductors have given a 3pm deadline for the payment or he gets killed.
The video showed a kidnapper pointing an AK-47 rifle at Mr Ojajuni’s chest as he appealed to the public for financial assistance to secure his release.
He said: “Nigerians, please help me! Your donation—N100,000, N50,000, or N1,000,000—can go a long way in saving my life,” he pleaded in the video.
“My name is Prince Eniola Ojajuni. God bless you. Aderohunmu, please help me spread this video.”
The National Secretary of the council, Abiodun Aderohunmu, confirmed the abduction.
He revealed that the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N100 million for his release.
“The Afenifere National Youths Council is deeply saddened to announce the kidnapping of its National President, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, in Abuja.
“During the attack, he sustained a gunshot wound, and we are extremely concerned about his safety,” the statement read.
Mr Aderohunmu called on the federal government and security agencies to take urgent action to secure Mr Ojajuni’s freedom.
