The management of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has approved Monday, October 24 for the resumption of academic activities for the 2021/2022 academic session.
The announcement was contained in the university’s bulletin released on Wednesday.
The bulletin said the date was approved after the 516th emergency meeting of the university senate.
“Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria will reopen on Monday 24th October 24, 2022 for the resumption of academic activities following the approval of the revised academic calendar for the 2021/2022 academic session by the Senate of the university at its 516 (Emergency) meeting held today [Wednesday, October 19, 2022].
“The calendar, earlier approved by the Senate at its 513 [regular] meeting held on 25th November, 2021 had to be revised largely due to the ASUU’s eight-month-old strike, which was called off only last week,” it read.
