An Abuja Federal High Court in on Tuesday granted bail to the spokesperson of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party Olisa Metuh, on the condition of payment of N400 million.
The court said Metuh would have to also submit his international passport and provide two sureties with N200 million each to gain freedom.
According to the court, the sureties must have properties in Maitama District of the capital city, Abuja.
In a surprise twist, the PDP spokesperson appeared in court in handcuffs.
He is accused of receiving N400 million from an arms money diverted by the office of the National Security Adviser.
Mr. Metuh was in the custody of the EFCC for about a weeks before the court sent him to prison for remand.
