The Secretary to the Adamawa State Government (SSG), Dr. Buba Bindir, said, on Monday, that the state was the only one in the country that had over 48 Permanent Secretaries, with hundreds of Directors but operating weak policies.
He lamented that the Permanent Secretaries were more than the ones in the Federal Government and the office of the Deputy Permanent Secretary was unconstitutional, as it was only the state that had such an office. He that there was, therefore, a need to streamline the ministries, so as to slash the cost of governance.
He was of the unneeded ones should be deployed to the state-owned, where would be of immeasurable use.
Bindir added that because of past maladministration present Governor under the leadership of Senator Muhammadu Jibrila Bindow inherited a myriad of problems, including, weak policies with virtually nothing on ground to run them.
