Governor Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa, on Wednesday, says the state will soon advertise the position of the Vice Chancellor for the Adamawa State University, ADSU, Mubi.

Mr Bindow made this disclosure at the inauguration of Dr John Ngamsa, as a commissioner in the state executive council in Yola.

NAN reports that Ngamsa was nominated as a commissioner to replace Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, the former commissioner for education, who was appointed the university’s acting vice-chancellor.

The governor promised to give room for many people to apply and the most qualified would be appointed as the substantive vice chancellor for the university.

He also lauded Farauta for taking her assignment with all dedication and seriousness.

Mr Bindow urged her to apply when the position would be advertised, adding that she could stand the chance of getting the job if she is qualified.

He also urged the commissioner to use his wealth of experience in the public service to better the condition of the state.

‘’Your choice as a commissioner was based on merit. We consulted both traditional and political leaders in Numan and they all chose you.

“I will advise you to carry everybody along in the discharge of your duties,” Mr Bindow said.

In his remarks, Mr Ngamsa, who is a university lecturer, thanked the governor for finding him worthy enough to be appointed as a commissioner.

He, however, pledged to support and contributes immensely to the provision of good governance in the state.
