ADSI pledges support for Tinubu on women, youth engagement

The Board and members of Arewa Development Support Initiative, ADSI, have congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his inauguration as 16th President of Nigeria, pledging its support for his policies in the area of women and youth empowerment.

The ADSI President, Khuraira Musa, in a statement signed on Wednesday, commended Mr Tinubu for demonstrating uncommon skill and a savvier understanding of the many challenges that have held Nigeria back for decades.

According to her, this singular act has earned him the recognition and confidence of not only Nigerians but the global community with deft actions in the energy, agriculture, financial and security sectors.

She said: “Your efficient and effective actions for the socio-economic development of Nigeria and the subregion have led to the sudden return of investors’ confidence in the stock market, uptick in oil production, increase in electricity generation with positive outlook in employment.

“Mr. President, in your inaugural speech you said amongst others: “Nigeria will be impartially governed…” “…women and youth will feature prominently”, these words are commitments of a true leader on a mission to build a new and working Nigeria, and in the circumstance.”

The philanthropist, therefore, called on the president to buy into its initiative in the areas of youths and women empowerment, girl-child education, skills acquisition especially in the northern part of Nigeria.

“ADSI has demonstrated these capacities with proven track record in all of the 19 states of the Northern part of Nigeria and our recent outing in Jos, Plateau State further captured our vision to do more as we saw poverty and misery, first hand, amongst our people.

“But in all, we felt their pulse of expectation for Mr. President’ Renewed Hope agenda with hope that the age-long conflict between herders and farmers will be resolved, communities will be rebuilt and lives will return to normal with positive dividend from your Government physically manifest; and ADSI presents a veritable channel for the Government in achieving some of these goals,” she added.
