Again, gunmen kill 2, kidnap 3 in FCT community

Unknown gunmen have invaded Yebu Village in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, killing two persons and abducting three others.

A resident of the community, Ayuba Danlami, revealed that the incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, when the gunmen in their large numbers with heavy weapons invaded the community.

He said they attacked one of the houses, killing two natives of the village and made away three children from the same family.

He further explained that the victims in their attempt to escape through the back of the houses to alert neighbours, made the gunmen standing outside the compound open fire on them, killing two persons on the spot.

in his words, “In fact, we couldn’t sleep last night due to the sound of their gun shots which rented all over the village, as the two deceased persons attempted to escape through the back door, one of the kidnappers opened fire on them.”

The Chairman of the council Danladi Chiya, in a telephone interview with Blueprint confirmed the abduction of three children and killing of two persons.

He said, among the two persons killed, one of them was an APC supporter in the area, saying he couldn’t sleep when he received the call of the attack at midnight.

“I am right now in tears as I speak to you, as one of my APC supporters was killed at the village by the gunmen. And I want to call on security agents to intensify effort to fish out those behind the attack at Yebu village, ” he lamented.

He further called on the authorities concern to as matter of urgency to come to the aid of his people, while urging residents to continue to be law abiding citizens, as government will continue to do everything humanly possible to see to the end of  armed bandits in the area.

Attempt to reach Spokesman for the FCT police command, DSP Anjuguri Manza, failed as he neither answered call nor reply text messages sent to his cell phone, at the time of filing this report.
