Armed kidnappers on Saturday opened fire on travelers near Jere on Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the kidnappers killed two people and allegedly abducted several others.

On July 22, the kidnappers killed a female professor, an army officer and a police officer, just as they kidnapped scores of travelers near Gidan Busa village, located between Jere and Kateri along the expressway.
