The campaign trail of the Kaduna All Progressives Congress’s Gida-Gida project has moved to the Southern part of the state to woo supporters for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
The Coordinator of the project, Aisha Ummi Garba El-Rufai, along with her campaign entourage, visited Chikun and KaJuru Local Government Areas of the state and were overwhelmingly received by the communities.
At Kajuru, DAILY NIGERIAN reports that Mrs El-Rufai was crowned as Giwar Matan Kajuru/Jarumar Malam by the Emir of Kajuru, Abdullahi Adamu.
At Gonin Gora community, in Chukun Local government area of the state, Mrs El-Rufai was received by the Chieftain of the community as well as by over 1,000 Christian women leaders led by Pastor Godiya Ga-Allah, who declared their support for President Buhari and Governor El-Rufai.
The chieftain noted that Mrs El-Rufai needed not to have come for campaign in the area, saying that Mr El-Rufai’s administration had done a lot to the area.
According to him, the whole Gonin Gora and its environs are for APC.
“We have nothing to say to Governor Nasir El-Rufai for elevating us to a First-Class chiefdom, and for constructing road networks in this community.
“We, therefore, want to assure the governor that Gonin-Gora is a peace loving community and we are ever ready to support him in his effort to foster peace in the state,” he said.
Responding, Mrs El-Rufai commended the community for conducting themselves peacefully.
She, therefore, called on women to keep their PVCs handy and vote APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
