The governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Al-Makura, has approved the selection of Ibrahim Usman-Jibril as the new Emir of Nasarawa.
The governor also approved the selection of Lawrence Sylvester-Ayih as the new Abaga Toni of Toni Kingdom.

The appointments were announced by the state commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Haruna Osegba, following the meeting of the Nasarawa state Traditional Council of Chiefs.
Mr Almakura expressed satisfaction with the maturity displayed by the kingmakers during the selection exercises.
