Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has inaugurated two blocks of 12 classrooms each, totaling 24 classrooms, at LGEA Primary School, Rafin-Guza, Kaduna North Local Government.

The governor, who was represented at the ceremony by his deputy, Dr Hadiza Balarabe said the gesture was part of the activities lined up to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Sani’s administration.

According to him, the ceremony highlighted the administration’s dedication to revamping schools’ infrastructure throughout the state.

He emphasized the transformative power of education, stating, “Education has the ability to open doors, break down barriers and pave the way for a brighter future.”

According to Mr Sani, the administration’s efforts to provide a conducive learning environment for every child in the state are yielding the desired fruits.

This, he said, was evident in the construction of 2,326 new classrooms, accommodating 93,040 pupils and the provision of 30,742 two-seater desks, seating 61,484 pupils

The governor also expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the project and urged for a renewed commitment to the cause of education.

“Together, we are laying the foundation for a better tomorrow for our children and our society,” he said..

In a similar development, Mr Sani, represented by his Chief of Staff, Sani Kila, has inaugurated a two-storey block of 12 classrooms at Basic Education School, Maraban-Jos, Igabi Local Government Area.

The governor said that the foundation of a prosperous society was laid in the classrooms, hence his administration’s commitment to ensuring that every child in the state has access to a conducive learning environment.

Mr Sani said, “This administration has placed a high priority on revamping dilapidated classrooms and up-skilling our teachers to foster better human capital outcomes for our state.

“We are acutely aware of the transformative power of education. It has elevated the statuses and economic privileges of countless individuals and continues to be a beacon of hope and progress for even marginalized people and communities.”

Earlier in his welcome remarks, Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Tijjani Abdullahi said, the last year under Sani had witnessed remarkable progress in providing access to quality education for every child in the state.

The chairman, who was represented by the Board’s Permanent Member, Project Management, Mubarak Mohammed, said, the infrastructure being inaugurated would not only enhance the learning environment for the children but also serve as a foundation for their future successes.

He said, “You may be aware that this basic education school is one of the biggest schools we have in terms of population with an enrollment of 7,160 and 52 classrooms.

”Among other reasons, this is why our visionary governor deemed it fit to construct additional 24 classrooms so that the quality of teaching and learning can be improved.”
