A key member of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Aminu Dabo, on Wednesday picked the governorship nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to challenge the endorsement of Abba Kabir Yusuf, a son in-law to party leader Rabiu Kwankwaso.
DAILY NIGERIAN had reported that a former deputy governor Kano State Hafiz Abubakar on Wednesday also obtained the governorship nomination form at the party headquarters in Abuja.
A source close to Mr Dabo confirmed DAILY NIGERIAN that the former managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, picked the form to challenge the choice of Mr Kwankwaso’s in-law and also prove that he is equal to the task.

“To say that all other aspirants but Abba qualified to be governor is wrong. So Aminu Dabo obtained the form to prove his capability and capacity to serve the people,” said a close associate of Mr Dabo.
“The choice Abba is nepotism and we have to all rise against it.”
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that nominees from across the 44 local government areas of Kano State are currently appending their signatures on the form for submission to the party headquarters on Thursday.
