Stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Bauchi Central Senatorial Zone have faulted the position of the Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, Mai Mala Buni, who disclosed that the National Reconciliation Committee of the party had resolved Congress impasses in many states.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that on Monday, Mr Buni while receiving the interim report of the national reconciliation committee led by Senator Abdulahi Adamu, revealed that the party has reconciled aggrieved members in Gombe, Ogun, Kwara, and many other states ahead of the February 26 national convention.

But while addressing a press conference on Wednesday in Bauchi, the Chairman of Bauchi Central APC Stakeholders, Adamu Noma, said the stakeholders were yet to interface with the reconciliation committee despite raging crisis in the leadership of the party in the state.

He added that, “to consolidate the position of Bauchi State critical stakeholders, a petition was written to the National Reconciliation Committee after the appearance of an unfamiliar person parading himself as the State Chairman of Bauchi APC.

“On November 16 2021, we received a letter of acknowledgment from the National Reconciliation Committee duly signed by its secretary, Otunba Moses Alake Adeyemo.

“Since receiving the aforementioned letter, we are yet to interface with the committee, as they have not come to Bauchi,” he lamented.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that in Bauchi, two parallel congresses were conducted leading to the emergence of two chairmen.

Following a complaint of imposition in the Bauchi congress, critical stakeholders of the party had approached the state High Court over the impasse.
On December 8, the court issued an order of interim injunction, halting one Babayo Aliyu from parading himself as the Chairman of the party in the state.
