The APC National Youth Vanguard, a recognized youth group under the national secretariat has called on Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje to be wary of fake youth vanguard group moving from state to state to extort money from party leaders and stakeholders.
A statement signed by the National Secretary of the group, Bashir Muhammad-Bello, said “the impersonation activity of Haruna Alfa and his group has been reported to the national secretariat of the party via a letter dated June 15th, 2021 with an acknowledgment copy dated June 17th, 2021″.
“Our attention has been drowned to an event tagged “AWARD and inaugurating of state executive council of APC NATIONAL YOUTH VANGUARD being organised by one Haruna Alfa and his co travelers scheduled to takes place tomorrow 30th of October in Kano.
The statement said the event “is purportedly being organised under the name of APC National Youth Vanguard – a clear case of impersonation by Haruna Alfa and his ‘greedy cohorts”.
The statement emphasized that the authentic APC National Youth Vanguard has never and will never mix party activities with money-seeking events like an award as being promoted by the fake version of the group.
“Our core mandate is to mobilise support and contributes ideas to move the party and the nation forward.
The statement said, “the said Haruna Alfa is purportedly operating under the office of CTC, APC National Youth Leader contrary to the rules and regulations guiding the registration and recognition of APC Support Groups.
“The registered & recognized Jibrilla Gadzama lead APC National Youth Vanguard said they are duly registered as a support group of the ruling All Progressives Congress as contained in letter dated January 29th, 2015.
“It said the letter was signed by the then National Secretary of the party Mal. Mala Buni who is the current caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
“Perhaps, APC National Youth Vanguard already have their existing structure intact from National level to the pulling units across Nigeria and cannot understand why inaugurations of new leadership for the organization that has been in existence since 2014.
“We are constrained to use this medium to alert our great party leaders, Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje and whoever it my concern that HARUNA ALFA is never and not the National Leader of APC National Youth Vanguard as the constitution of the Vanguard is very clear about its leadership structure.”
The group also said they are patiently waiting for the response of APC national secretariat on its petition against the said HARUNA ALFA and his gang before kick starting the next line of action.
