A group, All Progressives Congress Jos North Next Level Promoters, AJNLEP, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande into his cabinet as a minister.
The chairman of the group, Muhammad Salisu Muhammad, who made the urge in a statement in Jos, said that appointing Mr Nakande would go a long way in appeasing to the good people of Plateau state who invested a lot into the victory of President Buhari during the 2019 elections.
According to the group, Mr Nakande, among many others, had invested so much of their material resources, time and energy in ensuring Mr Buhari’s victory, but were not accorded the desired attention in terms of patronage, into key appointments.
“We are certain that Mr. President is not forgetful of our people’s glaring unshakeable loyalty, show of inner most love and admiration, ever in his political pursuit including the quest of becoming President, right from his days in the All People’s Party, (APP), All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP), to Congress for Progressives Change (CPC), and All Progressives Congress (APC) which we shall continue to support,” they added.

The group, therefore, appealed to Mr Buhari to consider their son in his ministerial appointments, so that they would feel the impact of the next level journey of Nigeria’s development and prosperity.
The statement said: “If indeed loyalty, hard work, dedication and experience is what will attract Mr. President’s rewards as he repeatedly said in his 2019 re-election promise to party men, we present a loyalist, hardworking, experienced personality and financier of the party in Plateau State who is an ex-minister of State for Information and Communications, Hon, Ibrahim Dasuki Salihu Nakande, for ministerial appointment.”
The group said that Mr Nakande, having served twice as member of the presidential campaign council, 2015 and 2019, deserve appointment.
“Remember that our community deserves a reciprocal gesture of you and to also see reasons on why we are recommending him as worthy of appointment into your ministerial cabinet.
“Mr. President should you appoint one of us, in person of Hon. Ibrahim Dasuku Salihu Nakande, surely posterity will remember you having recognised that we are one, if not best of your admirers,” they said.
