Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state has said that the All Progressives Congress, APC, remains the party of hope for sustainable growth and development of the country.
Mr Ahmed said this on Wednesday in Ilorin when he received members of the Kwara APC Ward and Local Government Congresses Appeal Committee in his office.
According to him, Kwara state remains committed to the party and will work hard to ensure its success in the state.
Mr Ahmed noted that the peaceful conduct of the ward congresses in the state was a clear demonstration of loyalty and commitment of APC leadership in the state to the ideals of the party and a reflection of inclusive leadership style in the state.
“We’re committed to the APC. We believe in the vision and mission of the party. We remain a strong member of this party.”
Earlier, Mohammed Diggol, the Chairman, APC Appeal Committee for the state, commended the APC-led government in the state for its giant strides in ensuring that the party remained strong.
“We also hail your administration for the various constructions going on in the state despite your meagre resources.
“The Diamond under pass, the road projects and the street lights are particularly commendable”, Mr Diggol said.
He attributed the developmental strides and peaceful co-existence across the state to continuity in governance.
He said his team was examining the outcome of the APC ward congresses held over the weekend in most parts of the country, listen to grievances, investigate and recommend resolutions to the national body of the party.
Mr Diggol assured the governor that his team would ensure a fair hearing to all aggrieved individuals.
