For the fourth time now, President Muhammadu Buhari has declined assent to the 2018 Electoral Act Amendment bill.

Recall that the president had severally returned the bill to the National Assembly, reportedly due to some errors in the bill.

But, briefing State House correspondents on Friday, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate), Ita Enang said that the President had returned the bill yet again to the NASS.

Mr Enang said the decision is in line with the constitution and would not want to discuss why the president took such decision.

He, however, said that it’s the National Assembly that can reveal the content of the communication.
