The Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, has given President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government 30 days ultimatum to begin the implementation of Ruga Settlement plans for Fulani herdsmen in the interest of peace and unity of the country.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, CNG spokesman, Abdul-Azeez Sulaiman, advised the federal government to shun what it described as unnecessary agitation against the Ruga plan by some Southern leaders.
According to him, should the government fail to heed to its advice, the group would resort to undisclosed decisive line of action.
“…We would most definably be left with no option than to consider resorting to our decisive line of action,” he stressed.
He, however, called on the security agencies in the country to to check and bring under control the current inflammatory remarks by the Southern leaders in the same manner.
