Army neutralises 3 female suicide bombers in Borno

Three female suicide bombers were on Saturday neutralised by the troops of 103 Battalion, Operation Lafiya Dole, as they try to sneak into their targeted location of Kawuri, Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.

A statement by the army spokesperson, Sani Usman Kukasheka, said “the female suicide bombers who were on obvious mission of committing mayhem, where spotted by a vigilant sentry while they were trying to access the military location.

“They were however challenged severally and continued advancing, declining several warnings to stop.

“Consequently, the troops neutralized them instantly. The remains of the suicide bombers have since been evacuated from the location.”

Mr Kukasheka, a brigadier general, however, urged the public to continue to support troops of Operation Lafiya Dole by reporting any suspicious movements of persons to the military or security agencies.
