The Progressive Youth for Change, PYC, has endorsed the governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku-Bagudu, as the running mate for the All Progressives Congress, APC’s presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, for the 2023 general elections.

A statement on Wednesday by the National Coordinator of the group, Nazir Galadanchi, said it would be most expedient and electorally rewarding to have a personality like Mr Bagudu as the vice-presidential running mate to the APC Presidential candidate.

According to him, Mr Bagudu can best be described as a brilliantly influential and strong electoral asset to the APC, in order to retain political leadership at the centre.

The statement said: “From the list of possible political leadership figures, being suggested by those making frenzied political permutations, as to the best optional choice for the position of the vice-presidential candidate, none of them, possesses or has the rich and humble credentials that Distinguished Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has.

“A two-time Executive Civilian Governor of Kebbi State, who had also enjoyed an equally two-time tenure at the SENATE of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, besides, having had the rare opportunity of being elected as the Chairman, of the APC Governors Forum, this graduate of BSc Economics, from the famous Usman Danfodio University & MSc Economics, University of Jos, has an amazingly graceful rich network of political contacts and solid grassroots mobilisation drive, through the entire northern region, made up of the North-West, North-East and North-Central geo political zones.
