Mike Ozekhome, one of the legal counsels to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has vowed to challenge the judgement by the Presidential Election Tribunal.

The tribunal on Wednesday dismissed the petition filed before it by the PDP and Mr Atiku, challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari during the February 23 election.

Delivering judgement, the five-man panel led by Justice Mohammed Garba, therefore, dismissed Mr Atiku’s petition for not being able to prove “satisfactorily” all the allegations he brought before the panel.

Mr Garba stated that Mr Atiku’s petition failed to show any evidence that the 2019 presidential election was not conducted in compliance with the Electoral Act.

However, Mr Ozekhome said his client would “challenge the ‘misevaluation’ of critical evidence in the judgement.”

“That we’re appealing to the Supreme Court is as certain as death,” Mr Ozekhome said.
