The Governor of Jigawa State, Muhammed Badaru-Abubakar, has felicitated with a former Head of State and retired Army General, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, IBB, who turned 80 years on Monday.
Releasing a congratulatory message through his media aide, Ahmad Danyaro, the governor described IBB as a symbol of unity and beacon of nationalism who worked for unity and development of the country.
According to Mr Badaru, having successfully navigated through 80 years of life as a Military Officer, Military President and Now an elder statesman, IBB represents an embodiment of experience, wisdom and legendary leadership.
“His impeachable records of service to God and Country will continue to serve as a reference point for countless generations,” he added.
“On this auspicious occasion of your 80th birthday anniversary, I heartily join your family, friends and associates across the globe to celebrate yet another year of God’s favour upon you in an illustrious life journey,” the governor added.
Mr Badaru prayed God to grant the celebrant many more years in good health, “so that he can continue his selfless service to his fatherland and mentoring the younger generations”.
