Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the nomenclature change of A.D Rufa’i College for Legal and Islamic Studies, Misau, to Ahmadu Danyama Rufa’i College of Education, Legal and General Studies, ADR/COELEGS.
A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the college, Nura Kaka, quoted the college’s Provost, Dr. Auwal Amba, as making the disclosure during an Emergency Management Meeting held at the Council Chamber of the college.
According to the statement, the provost also disclosed that the state government had already started the process of getting the college enlisted among the Colleges of Education benefiting from Tertiary Education Trust Funds, TETFUND, interventions.
The provost, therefore, announced the college’s new acronym to ADR/COELEGS, directing the management to further direct all Directorates, Departments, Units and Sections of the college to immediately change their letter headed papers, stamps, signboards, office equipment’s label to bear the new name.
In a recent development, DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the college has been nominated for the Nigerian Communication Commission, NCC,-sponsored training: Advanced Digital Awareness Programme for Tertiary Institutions, ADAPTI, 2020.
No fewer than 110 slots had been allocated to both academic and non-academic staff of the college.
