The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed that three of its personnel had been injured by unknown gunmen who attacked the residence of one Sa’adu Dan-Bagalo of Kofar Kudu, Kaita Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement on Monday, the police spokesman, Gambo Isa, disclosed that the injured policemen who were attached to Katia Division.
According to the statement, the policemen got injured during a gun duel with the gunmen in their attempt to kidnap the Mr Dan-Bagalo.

Mr Isa, however, stated that two other civilians were killed by the gunmen before abducting Mr Dan-Bagalo.
He said the bandits, who came in large numbers, were armed with AK47 rifles.
He said: “The bandits killed the victim and one Bawale Inusa, aged 58 years, of the same address when the chase got hotter and escaped through the bush path.”
