Shamsudeen Bala Mohammed, the son of the governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has revealed that it would be difficult for his father to support the presidential bid of former vice president Atiku Abubakar.

The governor’s son revealed this in a post on his X handle @shamsudeen_bala on Friday while responding to a tweet by a user expressing his desire to see Messrs Abubakar and Mohammed work together to rescue the PDP.

He accused the former vice president of working against the re-election bid of his father and deploying Bauchi elites to challenge him.

The user with the handle Abdul Azeez Naibi Abubakar said,” My wish now is to see Daddy Atiku and Bala Mohammed work together and reset the People Democratic Party, PDP.

But responding, Mr Mohammed said, “Honestly, it would be difficult. Because even if he wins, there is nothing he would do for us rather than settle scores.

“And again, he didn’t support us in 2023. He supported Air Marshal [APC candidate].

“He also deployed Bauchi elites to tackle us. We escaped narrowly. And he respects and values us.

“He has consistently shown us that we are not worth dialoguing with.”
