The Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, has disclosed that its chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has recovered from a temporary medical condition, adding that he is now hale and hearty.
The EFCC’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, made the disclosure in a statement on Thursday, following speculation on the ill-health of the anti-corruption agency’s boss.
Recall that some sections of the media had reported that Mr Bawa had collapsed while delivering his speech at a function in Aso Rock.
But the EFCC spokesperson said the slumping was temporary, adding that Mr Bawa had since received medical attention is now back at the office.
“This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.
“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk,” the statement added.
